Take a breath, be grateful

Before we move on into a hectic NFL summer and fall, with its concomitant media onslaught, during which the joy, the heartbreak, the anxiety of the players trying to make meaningful contributions to the team will be on full display, let those among us, the true burgundy and gold nation, take a moment, find our Redskins zen, and say a heartfelt thanks. Thank you, Dan Snyder. Thank you coach Shanahan. Thank you, higher power ( if applicable ). It’s time to display an attitude of gratitude for our Redskins.

Robert Griffin III is now officially the Redkins quarterback. He’ll be wearing number 10.

RGIII holds up RGIII in Burgundy and Gold

Breathe that in. Four interception games, like the one I attended last year at FedEx versus the Eagles-gone ( we hope ). Passes that never exceed 5 yards -gone as well. You know who throws those.

To borrow a famous phrase from a Steve Allen song: This could be the start of something big.

I grew up watching the Redskins with my dad. I feel I've always been a part of Redskins Nation. I'm so excited about the direction the team is taking now. I feel somewhat exiled in terms of the skins living in Boston, even though I know there are other fans here.
